Format For League matches.

Each match shall consist of 8 legs of 501, straight start and double finish.

Home player throws first in legs 1, 3, 5 and 7 in league matches.

All 8 legs to be played.

1 point awarded for each leg won in league matches.

Format for Cup Matches.

Each match shall consist of legs of 501, straight start and double finish.

Bull up in cup matches.

Home drawn player to throw for the bull first.

Prelims best of 5 legs.

1st Round Best of 7 legs.

2nd Round Best of 7 legs

Semi-Finals Best of 9 legs.

Final Best of 11 legs.

Format for Pairs Matches.

All games best of 5 legs.

                                                                                         League Rules for 2018


1. Players must pay £5 to enter the league plus 4 weeks subs of £5 ie (£20) .                                                                                                                           

2. Players must pay £5 per match (cash only). This includes the Decathlon event as it is a fixture, even if you  can’t attend.

            3. Players subscriptions to be paid up in full by 21/11/18 for treasurer to prepare players pay-out.

            4. The match boards shall be 5' 8" from the bull to the floor and a throwing distance of 7' 9.25" 

            5. Bust rule applies.

            6. Players must be up to date on their subs PRIOR to playing their match.  This is your responsibility.                                              

                NO PAY = NO PLAY= 8-0 loss.

            7. Games to start at 8pm SHARP.

            8. All fixtures for the evening will be displayed on the notice board where possible.

            9. Order of play will be drawn up at 7.45pm.                                                   

          10. Players to mark 4 legs each of the following match.

          11. Please stay at the board to mark the following game (time your smoke break accordingly).

          12. No drinking or use of E Cigs whilst marking.

          13. Players who miss a match shall forfeit the game 8-0 unless the Fixture Secretary is notified by 6pm on the Tuesday.

          14. Players knowing to be late for their match must notify the Fixture Secretary before 6pm on match night. So that the 

                Fixture Secretary can amend the order of play accordingly.   

          15. Players turning up late for their match without notifying the Fixture Secretary shall forfeit 1 leg for each 5 minutes of   

                lateness. If a player has legs forfeited than the match average for both players will not be counted but other stats will not      

                be affected ie HF, 60s,100, 140s, 180s, Least Darts and 8 leg ave.

        15a. In the event of a player being called away from the venue in an emergency only No penalty shall be imposed.

          16. No more than two catch-up matches will be allowed. If a player cancels a third match then that player shall forfeit their 

                first catch-up/cancelled match 8-0. .( Only if all 3 games were cancelled by that same player).

                  We will however, allow you pull a game forward if possible before you go on holiday and a game the  week you come back, to keep  

               you up to date with your matches. No playing of matches months in advance.

                 Any player on extended sick or holidays may start bringing games forward with consent of the Fixture Secretary so to be up to date on 

               their return.

         17. Only two matches of any type may be played in one night.

         18. No shows will forfeit that nights scheduled match only.(not any catch up matches).

        19. Catch-up and rearranged matches will be added to the nights fixture list by the Fixture Secretary.

        20. League Cup and Pairs matches will be played within the league fixtures up to the Semi Finals.

        21. Pair partnerships will be announces at the halfway stage according to league positions. Please ensure your matches

                are up to date for a fair position and draw. Players must make every attempt to be up to date on their matches at this point.

                1st will partner 24th, 2nd will partner 23rd, 3rd will partner 22nd, 4th will partner 21st and so on

        22. All monies to be played for will be shown at the start of the season, but is subject to change if players drop out of the

                league or any sponsorship alters.

        23. Any player leaving the league during the season, not fulfilling their fixtures or behind on their fees shall forfeit any

                monies and winnings accrued for that current season. However any subs paid in advance of the leaving date shall be        

              returned but must be collected personally by the leaving player.

        24. In the event of a tie in the league position at the end of the season. After the points, it will go on leg difference, 

                most games won, games drawn.

                If said players cannot be separated then a head to head count back. If still a draw then the prize will be shared

        25. Scores of 180, Least darts, Highest finishes and averages will be recorded and counted in ALL matches played

                including the League Cup. But not including the Pairs Competition and Decathlon.

        26. All prize monies must be collected by the winning players. (No 3rd party to collect on behalf of another player).

        27. All matches including catch-ups, Cups, Decathlon must be played at The Sportsman on Wednesday nights only.

        28. No catch-ups to be played on the Decathlon or Finals Night. 

        29. No Decathlon catch-up will be available.

        30. The committee’s decision is final on all matters.

        31. The league will guarantee existing players for the 2019 season to register by 28/11/18 for the following season. 

              From 01/12/2018 the registration will be open to the general public until 14/12/2018.
