                                          A TEN EVENT DISCIPLINE

Game 1                                                 15 Dart Starter             Sponsored by Mick Helm Pharmacy

Objective

To score as many points as possible in 15 darts (5 visits).

Practice is 3 darts prior to your attempt.

Maximum points achievable is 900.

£50 prize for winner.

Game 2                                                 Greens R Good

Objective

To hit as many different green segments (per visit) as possible in 15 darts (5 visits).

If the same green is hit twice in the same visit then, both darts will not be counted.

50 points awarded for each green hit.

Practice is 3 darts prior to your attempt.

Maximum points achievable is 750.

£50 prize for winner.

Game 3                                                   170 Max Out          Sponsored by Marks Darts

Objective

To score 170 ending on a double in 9 darts. (more if required)

Once achieved, 170 points will be awarded.

20 points will be awarded for each unused dart.

20 points will be deducted for each dart used over the 9 dart target.

Practice is 3 darts prior to your attempt.

Maximum points achievable is 290.

A maximum of 30 darts is permitted. 

If this objective is not achieved in 30 darts then a score of  -410 will be recorded.

Game 4                                                      Shanghai

Objective

3 darts to be thrown at No’s 1, then 3, then 5, then 7, and then 9 in that order. (5 visits)

10 points awarded for the single.

20 points awarded for the double.

30 points awarded for the treble.

50 points bonus if the shanghai is completed in any order of Single, Double and Treble.

Only 1 dart in each segment will be counted.

Practice is 3 darts prior to your attempt.

Maximum points achievable is 550.

Game  5                                                Bulls and 25’s           Sponsored by Mick Helm Pharmacy.

Objective

To score as many points as possible on Bulls and 25’s only in 15 darts (5 visits)

Practice is 3 darts prior to your attempt.

Maximum points achievable is 750.

£50 prize for winner.

Game  6                                               Four Corners             Sponsored by Candawoodcreations.

Objective

To throw 3 darts at Double 3 then Double 6 then Double 11 then Double 20

All successful hits will be counted as the total amount scored.

Practice is 3 darts prior to your attempt.

Maximum points achievable is 240.

£50 prize for winner.

Game  7                                                      Golf

Objective

To throw 3 darts at each number, 1 to 18.

Single counts as 1, Doubles count as 2 and Trebles count as 3. 

All points will be totaled up after all 18 holes are completed.

Par for this course is 54. So 54 points will be deducted from your score.

If you score is in the positive (+) after completion then this will be multiplied by 20

If you score is in the minus (-) after completion then this will be multiplied by 20 also.

Practice is 3 darts prior to your attempt.

Maximum points achievable is 2160.

Game  8                                    21 Darts at 21 Doubles

Objective

To throw 1 dart at each double in ascending order, Starting on Double 1. Ending on the Bull.

20 points awarded for each successful double hit in the correct order.

Practice is 3 darts prior to your attempt.

Maximum points achievable is 420.

£50 prize for winner.

Game  9                                  21 Darts at 21 Small Singles

Objective

To throw 1 dart at each small single in ascending order, Starting on Small 1. Ending on 25.

20 points awarded for each successful hit in the correct order.

Practice is 3 darts prior to your attempt.

Maximum points achievable is 420.

£50 prize for winner.

Game  10                                                 Snooker

A Special Snooker Dartboard will be used in this discipline.  ( Kindly donated by Martindale Home & Garden).

Objective

To score as big a break as possible.

First 3 darts are to hit a red, If red is hit then your break is immediately underway.

If not, the break ends.

Hit a red, then any colour, then red, then any colour, etc etc. until the end or a miss is made.

Any colour may be hit after a red. When the final red is hit, any colour may be hit ,then the colours must be hit in the order of, Yellow, Green, Brown, Blue, Pink and finally the Black.

When a red is hit during a break it will be marked so it may not be hit again. If this happens then the break is finished.

Practice is 3 darts prior to your attempt.

5 points awarded for each point scored in the break.

Maximum points achievable is 735.

£50 prize for winner.


Maximum points achievable for this decathlon is,   7,215.


If any discipline is won by more than 1 player, then all players in equal 1st position will play off to find a winner.

The same format as the original discipline shall apply.

The original score accumulated by these players will not be effected.

Doors open at 10am.

Registration will be from 10.15am to 11.45am.

Draw and order of play made at 12 midday.

Toe the oche at 12.30pm.

Entries are strictly limited to a maximum of 40 players.

Entry Fee is £15. (£10 for main comp and £5 for the team event)

All monies taken will be paid out.

The 4 Boards in the main room are to be used.

Order of play will be posted at each board.

Players drawn on Board 1 will use this board for the whole competition.

Players drawn on Board 2 will use this board for the whole competition.

Players drawn on Board 3 will use this board for the whole competition.

Players drawn on Board 4 will use this board for the whole competition.

Players drawn 1st on their board will be entered in Team A (4 players)

Players drawn 2nd on their board will be entered in Team B (4 players)

Players drawn 3rd on their board will be entered in Team C (4 players)

4th Team D, 5th Team E, 6th Team F, 7th Team G, 8th Team H, 9th Team I, 10th Team J.

Players must play in the correct order as posted at their board.

Any player not present when their turn is due will miss their turn to throw and will not be able to complete that particular discipline. (no exceptions).

No playing out of turn.

Please read the objective for each discipline fully as no explanation will be given on the oche.

Any questions will be answered by the organisers prior to the 12 o’clock start.

The referee’s / marker’s decision is final on all matters.

A copy of this Decathlon and rules will be given out to each entrant on the day.

and on a maximum entry of 40.
